A dynamic full-time transitional course in commercial, modern and contemporary dance alongside specialty act development. Students work to become strong, versatile performers whilst being supported to unlock their unique gifts as an artist.
This course is suitable for dancers aged 16yrs and above who are ready to transform their dance and create a pathway for their future in the performing arts industry and beyond.
For our Christchurch and NZ based dancers, this course is in response to hearing your needs as young people. We know first hand how difficult the big move to study abroad can be, mentally, financially and emotionally and after hearing many of your experiences we felt called to create an option for a more modern focused course here in Christchurch. We also want to support students to continue other educational studies alongside their dance training as we feel it is extremely important to keep other options and interests alive.
We are proud to work alongside national and international tutors to bring you an exciting curriculum that covers a diverse range of dance artforms with the development of a strong technical base to set students up for a lasting career in the performance industry
Student well-being is our number one priority and we strive to create a space for our dancers to grow in confidence and develop lasting friendships. We believe that hard work and a balanced social life are key to an enjoyable and long lasting career in the performing arts industry.
We love quality over quantity! When students train with us we ensure they have adequate time for rest, recovery and family.
We also believe in supporting our students to continue additional study alongside their dance training. Our large studio complex has lots of additional room to support onsite study.
